Tema Tank Farm completes 30,000 m³ storage expansion
Tema Tank Farm has commissioned three additional storage tanks, adding 30,000 cubic metres of capacity to the terminal and lifting total throughput headroom by roughly a fifth.
The expansion shortens vessel waiting times during peak import weeks and gives the terminal more flexibility to segregate grades for downstream customers, including Base Energy's retail network.
Construction ran for fourteen months with no lost-time injuries. The tanks were commissioned following calibration and inspection by the National Petroleum Authority.
The terminal is now evaluating a further phase focused on additive blending and truck loading bay automation.
