WASGL and Veolia Ghana begin Accra water treatment upgrade

West African Surface Solutions Ghana Ltd, in which CH Group holds an interest alongside its 30% stake in Veolia Ghana, has begun an upgrade programme at treatment facilities serving parts of Greater Accra.

Work covers replacement of ageing filtration lines, pump refurbishment and the installation of real-time quality monitoring that reports continuously rather than on a sampling cycle.

The programme is scheduled in phases to avoid supply interruption, with the majority of intrusive work carried out overnight.

Completion is expected within eighteen months.
